There are many simple small inventions that we all use but might not think too much about. Take wall anchors for example. They’ve been around for a long time, and they are very useful when trying to mount something on drywall, but are you aware of the different types of anchors that exist? While we’re probably all familiar with the basic type of anchor that just gets hammered into a hole in your drywall to give some extra support, there are also those that drill into the wall, making their own hole, and those that are made for extra support with a metal bar that goes in behind the wall. When you are mounting things on drywall, you need to know what is going to be the right type of anchor for your application. You will find that they are rated by weight. To be on the safe side you should go slightly above the weight that you expect the load would be.
